THE T5 EXPERIENCE – JET BLUE'S REVOLUTIONARY TERMINAL AT JFK AIRPORT

Presented by Rick Blatstein – CEO of OTG (www.otgmanagement.com), and creator of unparalleled airport experiences for travelers and maximum revenue generating opportunities for Jet Blue and T5 vendors

A case study on Jet Blue’s new T5 at JFK International Airport - from conception to proposal to execution and will be illustrative of blue ocean and disruptive innovation theories. OTG is taking uncontested space (“dead” waiting room seats, underutilized 1st class lounges) and turning it into revenue generating space. At the same time they are offering alternatives in a previously “undisrupted” market.

T5 is scheduled to open in September 2008, and will be unlike anything we have seen or experienced to date. It will be a model for the rest of the world as airports around the globe rush to upgrade the experience of travelers who begrudgingly trudge through their terminals. There is going to be enormous press and buzz around T5 as the construction continues, as the renowned chefs come to NY, as the restaurants open, etc.

T5 and Jet Blue will become destinations finally relieving passengers of the feeling that they are prisoners held hostage by the airlines. Instead, passengers will decide that they need to fly Jet Blue and they need to fly out of T5.

GLAXOSMITHKLINE
Led by Donna J. Sturgess, Global Head of Innovation

By eliciting and uncovering customer emotions, focusing on good health and wellness rather than the negative associations and implications of being on a diet, learn how GSK successfully introduced and nearly overnight made Alli, a diet product, a blockbuster success.

THE DRUMMER
Led by the film's director, Bill Block

The Drummer (www.thedrummershort.com), is an independent short film by first time director Bill Block. Since its 2008 release it has received numerous awards including “Best of Show” at the 41st Annual International Houston Film Festival, “Best Short” at the 13th Annual Stony Brook Film Festival, “Best Short” at the 13th Annual Nantucket Film Festival, and “Best of the Fest” at the 12th Annual Rhode Island International Film Festival. Shot in and around New York City, THE DRUMMER depicts the defining day in the life of a lost and defeated musician as he journeys far outside his comfort zone in order to find himself again, illustrating how best results are often attained when the norm is challenged.

Additionally, Bill’s film is an innovative approach to marketing and positioning in a crowded marketplace. He sees his award-winning Short as a ‘teaser’ to the feature film version he is planning to make.
